Who could have done such a thing??
We woke up this morning to Lily going nuts, barking, whining and literally jumping against the door. We let her out and she took off like a bullet down the stairs and was barking hysterically at a huge black bear! It just ambled off up the hill, not the slightest bit perturbed. After a year of living here this is the 1st one we've seen. We are usually really careful about keeping our trash in the garage but forgot last night. We wont make that mistake again!

NICE! Bet that was fun to clean up. I'm guessing you don't hang out in the yard too much after dark..LOL.
Funny, but we had a trash incident this morning too. I opened the kitchen trash to throw some away and the inside was crawling with HUGE black ants...ICK!!! They must have been attracted to all the jam residue on the paper towels in the trash. I'm okay with small ants, but the bigs ones freak me out especially since they make a loud crunchy noise when you squish them. Needless to say the trash went out into the big bin in the garage.
AAAHHHH!!! That is so scary. You are living in the wilderness. :)
